Maternal Instincts

Though Kara is not mortified of spiders, if I'm around I'm the one that is asked to dispose of any 8-legged unwanted guests. A few days ago Kara noticed a spider crawling on Nora. Not only did she swiftly remove the spider from Nora, she removed the spider by picking it up between her thumb and forefinger and then squashed it into oblivion.

She didn't share it in her recount of the story, but I'm sure she was thinking, "Not biting my daughter, Mr. Spider!" The clearest manifestation of maternal instincts yet.

I can't technically say that Nora gums everything anymore, now she tooths everything.

As in one-tooths everything.

With the shark in the lower left corner, this pic is right out of the Muppet Show.

Intent.

Daddy en-courages fruits.

Intent.

Nora likes to suck on the bottom of our glasses.

Don't know if it's the cold glass, whether she thinks she's drinking, or whether she's just weird.

She's a Lil Godzilla on the magazines.

If it keeps her entertained for a few minutes, we are all for it.

Can't see the full effect of the mohawk, but it was sweet.
Mommy ran a 5k recently. She placed 2nd in her division.

Yes, there were more than 2 in her division.

There were 3, and she totally wasted the 3rd girl.

I'm so impressed that you ran a 5k! My sister-in-law ran one a month ago, but it was during a hurricane, so it was miserable.

Nora has such a beautiful complexion - her cheeks are just begging to be kissed!
